James "Jimmy" Rubin

I have devoted my career to assisting individuals and businesses involved in employment disputes.  Twenty years of experience inform the advice I provide to my clients.  My goals are to maximize the results for my clients while limiting the financial and emotional costs that are associated with employment disputes.  I am an experienced negotiator, counseler, litigator, and trial lawyer.   Some of my clients have reviewed me on AVVO and Google.  You can also read about some of my wins, awards, and press coverage here. I blog about Maryland Employment Law.  I am licensed in Maryland and DC.  I am on Linkedin.

I am husband to Rebecca and dad to two school age boys and our dog.  I volunteer for the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association.  I play soccer and am an avid runner.

Flexible Billing

Hourly

I track my time and bill you by the hour.  Used in defensive cases and when liability or collection is not readily apparent.

Flat

You pay a flat fee for a discrete task.  Examples of such tasks are an EEOC mediation or a claimant-side unemployment appeal.

Hybrid

Contingency

I recover only if you win or settle. Offered when liability and employer ability to pay are clear.

A combination of hourly and contingency.  The possibilities are infinite. I discuss these with you at an intial consultation.
